Corrugated cardboard or fiberboard is made of two components: linerboard and medium. The medium is the wavy fluted paper. The linerboard is the flat facing that adheres to and protects the medium.

Single wall corrugated fiberboard is composed of two layers of linerboard sandwiching one layer of medium.

Double wall corrugated fiber board is composed of three layers of linerboard sandwiching two layer of medium.

The answer to this question depends on several things:

Some are surprised at the number of styles of boxes available for shipping. Check our gallery of box styles for description of each style and its uses.

The box industry has a specific way to measure boxes.

First, the measurements should reflect the inside dimensions of the box. The size of the box should be stated in terms of Length, Width and Depth ( or Height ). Length is the longest side of the box. Width is the shortest side. As you look into the opening of the box, the Depth ( or Height ) is the measurement from the opening down to the floor of the box.

We construct boxes out of corrugated card board. What we have in stock may vary, but here are some examples of material:

• 200 lb single wall - rated to hold up to 65 lbs.
• 32 ETC single wall - rated to hold up to 65 lbs.
• 275 lb double wall - rated to hold up to 100 lbs
• 350 lb double wall - rated to hold up to 120 lbs

Colors available are Kraft ( brown ) and White.
